RN Same Day Surgery
About The Position
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery in Gig Harbor, Washington. The RN delivers compassionate, high-quality, individualized care by assessing patients, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. The nurse collaborates with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment focused on patient recovery and outcomes. The small team includes an RN, a Tech, two GYN physicians, one Neurologist, two Urologists, and one Podiatrist. The schedule is flexible, with no weekends or holidays. Travel to the Main OR at SJMC may be needed due to staffing needs.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Completion of an approved program or at least one year of previous OR experience.
- Washington State Registered Nurse license, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within six months.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire.
- For assignment to the Gig Harbor Same Day Surgery facility, related work experience in a free-standing surgery center.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room certification, upon hire.
