RN Same Day Surgery
About The Position
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery in Gig Harbor, Washington. The RN delivers compassionate, high-quality, individualized care by making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. The role involves close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment focused on patient recovery and optimal outcomes. The small team includes an RN, a technician, two gynecologists, one neurologist, two urologists, and a podiatrist. The schedule is flexible, with no weekends or holidays. Travel to the Main OR at SJMC may be needed due to staffing needs.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Completion of an approved program or at least one year of previous operating room (OR) experience.
- Registered Nurse license in Washington, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within six months.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- One year of related work experience in an acute care setting.
- For assignment to the Gig Harbor Same Day Surgery facility, related work experience in a free-standing surgery center.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room certification, upon hire.
