About The Position
The Briarwood Community is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate, quality-driven nursing care at The Knollwood Nursing Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. The role offers manageable patient loads, support from consistent CNAs and engaged leadership, and a generous orientation and mentorship program. The nurse will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and in collaboration with a dedicated care team to support resident well-being and optimal outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site position with an overnight shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The stated base salary ranges are $32–$38.25 for LPNs and $40.51–$49.82 for RNs, plus differential; pay depends on license and years of experience. The Briarwood Community is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community serving older adults in the Greater Worcester area since 1984. Its campus offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Current Massachusetts nursing license (RN).
- Current CPR certification.
- Compliance with state CEU requirements.
Nice To Haves
- One year of long-term care or sub-acute experience preferred.
- IV therapy certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and DPH regulations.
- Monitor, assess, and document resident conditions and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
