About The Position

The LPN provides care to memory-care residents in accordance with physician orders and applicable Westminster Services and community rules, policies, standards, and guidelines. The role assists with assessing residents’ needs, planning and implementing care, evaluating care, and communicating with physicians as needed to update orders. The LPN administers prescribed medications, monitors blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure, assists residents with daily living activities, and ensures CNAs follow physician orders.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of long-term care experience is desirable.
• Med-Surg experience is helpful.
• Home Health experience is helpful.
• Experience working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.

Responsibilities

• Comply with applicable employment rules, policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Assist with evaluating residents’ needs.
• Assist with planning resident care based on physician orders.
• Implement resident care based on physician orders.
• Evaluate care and communicate with physicians as needed to update orders.
• Ensure residents receive medications at the times prescribed by physician orders.
• Monitor residents’ blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfers, ambulation, and toileting.
• Ensure CNAs follow physician orders.
