About The Position

The LPN provides nursing care to memory care residents, assisting with evaluation and care planning based on physician orders. The role implements and evaluates care, communicates with physicians about order updates as needed, ensures residents receive medications at prescribed times, monitors blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure, and assists with activities of daily living. The LPN also ensures that CNAs follow physician orders. Employees must comply with applicable employment rules, policies, standards, and guidelines. Duties may change as organizational needs change.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

• One year of long-term care experience is desirable.
• Med-Surg experience is helpful.
• Home Health experience is helpful.
• Experience working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluating residents' needs.
• Assist with planning resident care based on physician orders.
• Implement resident care based on physician orders, evaluate care, and communicate with physicians about order updates as needed.
• Ensure residents receive medication at the time prescribed by physician orders.
• Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, and toileting, as well as other resident needs.
• Ensure CNAs are following physician orders.
• Comply with applicable employment rules, policies, standards, and guidelines.
