RN or LPN Surgical Inpatient FT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for its Surgical Inpatient Unit (SIPS). This full-time, benefit-eligible position is scheduled for nights, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., for 36 hours per week. A sign-on bonus is available to eligible experienced external candidates. The RN or LPN provides and is accountable for direct, comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge. As an on-shift team member, the nurse provides direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. SIPS is a 32-bed unit specializing in inpatient care for post-surgical patients. The team cares for patients undergoing procedures such as total joint replacements and bariatric surgeries, as well as higher-acuity post-surgical vascular and thoracic patients. The unit also receives postoperative admissions from the emergency room and physician offices. The posting describes the unit as a setting where new graduate RNs and LPNs can gain exposure to a wide variety of patients. Baptist Health Floyd is a Pathway to Excellence® designated organization. The facility is located at 1850 State Street, New Albany, Indiana, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Louisville.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN or LPN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
