RN or LPN Surgical Inpatient FT Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for its Surgical Inpatient Unit (SIPS). This full-time position is scheduled for nights, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., for 36 hours weekly, and is benefit eligible. Experienced external candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. SIPS is a 32-bed unit providing inpatient care for post-surgical patients. Patients include those recovering from total joint replacements and bariatric surgery, as well as higher-acuity vascular and thoracic surgical cases. The unit also accepts postoperative admissions from the emergency room and physicians’ offices. It offers new graduate RNs and LPNs exposure to a wide variety of patients. The RN or LPN provides and is accountable for comprehensive direct nursing care from admission through discharge, working as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN or LPN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide and be accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge.
- Work as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers.
