RN New Grad (Weekend Option Nights) - ICU
About The Position
Individuals in this job classification assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards to provide efficient, effective, quality patient care. The Registered Nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide age-appropriate care to patients on the assigned unit, understand growth and development across the life span, assess and interpret information about patient status, and identify age-specific care requirements. The RN plans patient care, including developing, modifying, and implementing the plan of care according to OSUMC standards and Patient Care policies and procedures. The RN must follow the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
Requirements
- Associate degree or nursing diploma.
- Current Oklahoma RN license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within 90 days.
- Less than one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care activities.
- Provide care appropriate to the ages and developmental needs of patients on the assigned unit.
- Assess patient-status information and identify age-specific care requirements.
- Develop, modify, and implement patient care plans in accordance with OSUMC standards and Patient Care policies and procedures.
- Comply with the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
