RN - Mother Baby / Nights, PRN
About The Position
The RN works in the Love Family Women's Center Mother Baby unit, a high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, well newborn care, and post-women’s surgical care. The unit includes 40 Mother-Baby rooms, 15 labor and delivery rooms, 14 high-risk antepartum rooms, an 8-bed OBED unit, 4 LIBC birthing suites, 4 pre/post rooms, and 3 operating room suites where the team circulates its own cases. Full-time lactation consultants serve both inpatients and outpatients. Mercy OKC is described as the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry, offering a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family Women's Center. This is a PRN position, as needed, on nights. Team members working 32 or more hours per pay period are offered medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state in which nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Hold Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.
- Obtain other unit-specific certifications as required, within the department's required timeframe.
- Be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
- Be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
