About The Position

Provides direct patient care in a medical or physician office setting using the nursing process and in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the organization's policies, values, and mission. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, minimal supervision, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. This is an onsite, full-time day-shift position at UCHealth UCHlth Parkview MOB in Pueblo, Colorado, scheduled for 80 hours per two-week pay period. Pay is $33.61–$52.10 per hour, depending on the applicant's relevant experience.

Requirements

State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Six months of nursing experience.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date. The card must remain valid through 60 days after hire; renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
If the applicant has less than three years of experience, graduation from an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessments to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborate across disciplines as needed to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate patient and/or family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Use critical thinking and decisive judgment, work with minimal supervision, and take appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.
