About The Position

Provides direct patient care in a medical or physician office setting, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission. This is an onsite role at UCHealth Internal Medicine Parkview in Pueblo, Colorado; hybrid and remote work are not offered. The schedule is full time, 80 hours per two-week pay period, on day shifts. Pay is $33.61–$52.10 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. The nurse may precept student nurses and new hires. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than three years of experience.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Six months of nursing experience.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date; the card must remain valid for 60 days after hire. All renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborate across disciplines as needed to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate the learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Use critical thinking and decisive judgment, work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, and take appropriate action.
