About The Position

Provides direct patient care in a medical or physician office setting, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than 3 years of experience.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
6 months of nursing experience.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date. The card must remain valid through 60 days of hire; renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
Critical-thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessments to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate patient and/or family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
