About The Position

Provides direct patient care in a medical or physician office setting using the nursing process and in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the organization’s policies, values, and mission. The role is based onsite at UCHealth Specialty Clinic in Broomfield, Colorado, in the Urology department. It is a full-time, day-shift position scheduled for 80 hours per two-week pay period. The listed pay range is $33.61–$52.10 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. The RN may precept student nurses and new hires. Requirements

If the applicant has less than three years of experience, graduation from an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Six months of nursing experience.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date; the card must be valid through 60 days of hire. Renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborates across disciplines as needed to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates the learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Uses critical thinking and decisive judgment, works with minimal supervision, and takes appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.
