About The Position

Miller's Health Systems is hiring a licensed nurse to serve as a Charge Nurse. The Charge Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients during the assigned shift, follows each patient's Comprehensive Care Plan, and assists the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in patient records when needed. The role also supervises direct resident care personnel on the shift. Candidates should be passionate about serving others, professional in appearance and behavior, and able to work with a dedicated team. This position involves potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

Requirements

Currently licensed and registered to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Indiana.
Successfully complete the pre-employment process and screening.
Pass the physical examination required for employment at the facility.
Maintain a professional manner and appearance.
Know nursing policies and procedures.
Know medication administration, possible side effects, treatment administration, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
Have comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and residents' physical, psychological, social, and medical needs.
Understand the organizational structure and duties of employees under the Unit Manager's supervision.
Demonstrate competence in supervision and leadership.
Have a caring attitude, be observant, and exercise good judgment and emotional stability.
Foster and maintain good working relationships with other staff.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
