About The Position

Walnut Hills, part of nonprofit Greencroft Communities, is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to join its Assisted Living team. The role provides hands-on nursing care, supports and supervises Nursing Assistants, monitors residents’ health, and builds meaningful relationships with residents. Nursing at Walnut Hills emphasizes knowing residents, advocating for their needs, and helping them feel safe, valued, and cared for. The position is part-time, on the evening shift, with 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Current, active RN or LPN license in Ohio in good standing.
• Strong assessment, observation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with Nursing Assistants and other team members.
• Compassionate, professional, and positive approach.
• Genuine desire to build relationships and make a difference in the lives of older adults.

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care experience or experience working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee quality nursing care.
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants.
• Monitor residents and recognize changes in condition or needs.
• Complete assessments, vital signs, weights, and other routine monitoring.
• Administer medications, treatments, and ordered diagnostic tests.
• Document care and communicate changes with physicians, families, and the care team.
• Process orders, admissions, discharges, and required documentation.
• Help maintain adequate medications and supplies.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment for residents.
