RN/LPN Pediatric Home Care
About The Position
Home Heart Florida is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to a pediatric patient in the patient’s home in North Port, Florida. Nurses are matched with families based on clinical experience, personality, location, and schedule. The case requires experience with epilepsy and seizure monitoring, and English is required. Available scheduling may include day, night, weekend, or overnight care, depending on the patient’s needs. A supportive, nurse-led clinical team is available to assist, and the company aims to move qualified nurses through onboarding promptly. RNs with at least one year of pediatric and home care experience may ask about providing RN education to a nearby family for an increased rate.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN or LPN license.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with epilepsy and seizure monitoring, when required for the case.
- Dependable and communicative, and comfortable working independently in the home.
- Reliable transportation.
- For the RN education opportunity: one year of pediatric experience and home care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care according to the patient's plan of care.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Monitor and document changes in the patient's condition.
- Provide feeding, respiratory, and other case-specific care as applicable.
- Communicate with the family and clinical team.
