About The Position
Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring RNs and LPNs to provide 1:1 overnight nursing care for a young child in Rockford. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on a single patient throughout the shift, providing skilled nursing care, monitoring, and support in a home setting. The position is ideal for those who enjoy working nights but prefer a more focused patient care experience compared to traditional hospital settings. New graduates are encouraged to apply, as comprehensive training and clinical support will be provided.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Dependable and compassionate approach to care
- Interest in working one-on-one with a pediatric patient
Nice To Haves
- Experienced pediatric nurse
- New grad interested in building skills
- Previous private duty nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 skilled nursing care in the home
- Monitoring your patient's condition and vital signs
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Providing trach, vent, G/J-tube, or other case-specific care as needed
- Responding appropriately to changes in condition
- Communicating with the family and Castor clinical team
- Completing real-time nursing documentation during your shift
