About The Position

Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 overnight nursing care for a teenager in the comfort of their home in Rockford, IL. This role offers the opportunity to focus on a single patient throughout the shift, providing skilled nursing care, monitoring, and support while building a meaningful relationship with the patient and family. The position is ideal for nurses who enjoy nights and prefer a focused nursing role without a large patient assignment. New graduates are encouraged to apply, as paid, case-specific training is provided.

Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Compassionate and dependable approach to care
• Interest in providing one-on-one pediatric nursing care

Nice To Haves

• Previous pediatric or private duty nursing experience isn't required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 skilled nursing care in the home
• Monitor your patient's condition and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Provide case-specific nursing care according to the plan of care
• Respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Communicate with the family and Castor clinical team
• Complete real-time nursing documentation during your shift
