Overnight Nurse (LPN/RN)
About The Position
Wood Violet Recovery is seeking overnight nurses (LPN/RN) to provide compassionate medical care for adults undergoing treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. While generally quieter than a hospital setting, the role is meaningful, engaging, and requires strong clinical judgment. This is an ideal opportunity for nurses who prefer working independently, building patient relationships, and practicing in a supportive behavioral health environment. Comprehensive training is provided, and nurses from various backgrounds such as hospitals, long-term care, skilled nursing, corrections, and home health are welcome, even without prior behavioral health experience.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin LPN or RN license (required).
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Compassion, professionalism, and a team mindset.

Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments and support individualized detox treatment plans.
- Monitor clients throughout the night and respond to medical concerns.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
- Process labs and communicate results to providers and the care team.
- Support clients through detox and stabilization protocols.
- Coordinate transfers and communicate with outside healthcare facilities when needed.
- Collaborate with providers, therapists, and nursing teammates.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory documentation standards.
- Track and manage medical supplies.
