About The Position

The Iowa Clinic is seeking an RN, LPN, or CMA to provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physicians in Plastic Surgery. The role follows established nursing practice standards and medical office and hospital procedures. The employee assesses patients’ care needs, assists providers with triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists, and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data. The position also involves communicating with patients, returning patient calls, maintaining records, and assisting physicians professionally. The clinic describes standard clinic hours with no night shifts.

Requirements

• Must be licensed as an RN, LPN, or CMA by the State of Iowa.
• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services to patients of assigned physicians in accordance with established nursing practice standards and medical office and hospital procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ care needs.
• Assist providers with patient triage.
• Identify nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulate an initial plan of care based on assessment data.
• Communicate with and listen to patients, helping them feel valued and cared for.
• Return patient calls.
• Prepare and maintain records.
