About The Position

Ensures quality nursing care for all patients in accordance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and TriState Hospital and departmental nursing standards. The role primarily supports the procedure side of the IPC department, with the ability to cover the clinic side when needed. Using the nursing process, the RN provides direct patient care and coordinates care.

Requirements

• Current Washington State or Multi-State RN license.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS/CPR certification card by hire or within the orientation period.
• At least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or equivalent college coursework.
• Clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, including peri-operative education and care.
• Recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
• Promote positive teamwork with departmental staff, surgeons, physicians, anesthesia, and other departmental personnel.
• Participate in maintaining a safe patient care environment.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and participate as a preceptor.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate care using the nursing process.
• Primarily work on the procedure side of the IPC department and cover the clinic side when needed.
