About The Position

Ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act, Tri-State Hospital and departmental nursing standards. The position primarily works on the procedure side, with the ability to cover the clinic side of the IPC department when needed. Using the nursing process, the RN functions primarily in direct patient care and care coordination.

Requirements

Current Washington State or Multi-State RN license.
Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within the orientation period.
Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent phone etiquette.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Computer skills, including experience with electronic medical record systems.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or equivalent college coursework.
Clinic experience.

Responsibilities

Use nursing assessment skills, including peri-operative education and care.
Recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
Promote positive teamwork with departmental staff, surgeons, physicians, anesthesia, and other departmental personnel.
Participate in maintaining a safe patient-care environment.
Use effective leadership skills and participate in precepting.
