About The Position

Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Works collaboratively with other disciplines on the assigned unit. Organizes and implements group activities in conjunction with the unit program and other staff. Establishes and fosters collegial relationships with peers and other disciplines, remains open and responsive to diverse backgrounds and experiences, and promotes an environment sensitive to cultural diversity. Demonstrates therapeutic and physical skills required in crisis intervention.

Requirements

• Current registration in New York State as an RN; diploma and licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of psychiatric experience required.
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Current PMCS preferred.
