About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized patient care. In the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CIRV) department at Marshfield Medical Center, nurses work with physicians during cardiovascular, neurovascular, and interventional procedures, caring for patients in planned and emergent cases. The role involves procedural nursing in a specialized environment, with expertise in sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency interventions. The team performs STEMI and stroke interventions and complex minimally invasive procedures. The RN collaborates with interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care; practices within the full scope of nursing expertise; and applies age- and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting. Care covers preventative services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up across the continuum of care. The RN plans and coordinates care, assesses and educates patients, triages, and performs other nursing interventions in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, state administrative rules, and professional nursing standards.
