About The Position

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff at various levels and coordinates care with other disciplines, using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. The position is represented by UFCW. The role is based at Adventist Health Mendocino County, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Fort Bragg.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, per Adventist Health policy.
Department-specific driver’s license requirement.
Receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect relevant data about the patient’s health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develop a plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and use strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
Provide health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
