About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is hiring a Casual Surgery RN in Hillsboro to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a surgical setting. The nurse assesses, plans, intervenes, documents, and evaluates care while working closely with patients, families, and the care team. The role supports safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment that requires clinical judgment and teamwork.

The position is casual, with zero scheduled weekly hours. The hourly wage range is $35.52 to $55.57, based on years of experience, and casual incentive pay is offered. No benefits are offered. Weekend and holiday coverage is not needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin required.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• No experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Six months or more of previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care professionals to develop a patient-centered plan of care.
• Provide competent and innovative patient care and education based on patient complexity, acuity, and nursing judgment.
• Document nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and patient or family response.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise the plan of care as needed.
• Accept accountability, seek feedback, clarify concerns, and work toward resolving problems or conflicts.
• Practice in alignment with the Gundersen Health System mission, values, strategic plan, and Nursing Professional Framework.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
• Personally interact with, engage with, and care for patients.
• Ensure patient safety.
