About The Position
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring a hospice Registered Nurse to care for patients in the final stages of life. The RN works with patients, families, and other health care professionals in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice care environments. Nurses may also supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides. The role calls for compassionate communication, keen observation, high ethical standards, and sound judgment about when to alert physicians and others to changes in patients’ conditions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Valid state driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
- Dependable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous home health or hospice experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with hospice patients, their families, and other health care professionals during the final stages of patients’ lives.
- Provide care in private homes, residential care facilities, nursing centers, and other hospice care environments.
- Supervise licensed vocational/practical nurses and nursing aides, as needed.
- Observe patients’ conditions and alert doctors and others to changes.
