About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a full-time, day-shift RN Hospice Clinical Manager to organize clinical operations for a care center and support high-quality hospice and home care. The role is responsible for patient-care quality and the clinical performance of nurses and aides, coordinating referrals and admissions, overseeing scheduling and payer requirements, and ensuring staff documentation is complete and timely. The manager supports clinicians with patient goals and plans of care, evaluates patient needs and revises plans in collaboration with clinicians, and may provide direct care during emergencies. The position participates in on-call duties, staff training, and the investigation and resolution of patient, family, and physician concerns. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• At least one year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• At least one year of RN management experience.
• Current RN license specific to the state(s) assigned.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support, participate in, and work cooperatively with the director of staffing.
• Be responsible for overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility and suitability for home care services; coordinate referrals and admissions with intake.
• Oversee scheduling.
• Oversee payer verification and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation and ensure missing, incomplete, or untimely documentation issues are resolved.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing plans of care.
• Regularly evaluate patient needs and collaborate with clinicians on necessary revisions to plans of care.
• Provide direct patient care infrequently in emergencies, as needed.
• Participate in the on-call process.
• Assist with staff training to ensure quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Participate in investigating and resolving patient, family, and physician concerns.
