About The Position

Goodwin Home Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work 40 hours per week during daytime hours. The RN develops and safely delivers high-quality skilled home health nursing services to seniors living in their homes. Services are provided throughout Northern Virginia, with a focus on Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun counties. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a salary of $47–$50 per hour.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current state board of nursing license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
At least one year of acute care experience.
Current CPR certification.
Driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and readily available reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete OASIS documentation.
Perform detailed patient assessments and develop patient-specific plans of care, documenting in the clinical record according to agency policy.
Provide direct nursing care in a home health setting in accordance with physician orders.
Communicate the plan of care to other team members and collaborate with them to achieve optimal outcomes.
Communicate effectively with referring physicians and provide accurate treatment notes and other required documentation in a timely manner and according to policy.
Begin discharge planning as soon as possible and inform and prepare the patient, team members, and physician.
