About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers compassionate, high-quality, individualized care to support patients’ well-being and recovery. The RN performs assessments, makes critical decisions, carries out skilled procedures, and implements and evaluates patient care plans. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting. The RN is responsible for acquiring the knowledge and skills needed for the identified practice setting and for providing care that protects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license in Kentucky, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR), upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
• Assess patients and analyze their problems and conditions, using critical decision-making to determine the need for standard, urgent, or emergent interventions.
• Implement or modify plans of care using assessment data, standards of care, and evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate nursing care and provide appropriate patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary partnerships in patient care.
• Integrate ethical provisions into nursing practice and protect patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluate progress toward desired patient outcomes.
