About The Position

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities through assessment, plans and delegates care based on patient needs, and evaluates patients’ responses to care and progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for patient-care outcomes during the assigned shift.

Requirements

Graduate of a state board School of Nursing.
Current Alabama or multi-state nursing licensure.
BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained during the orientation period.
ACLS certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
Experience is required; the amount and type are not specified.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and frequently change tasks.
Knowledge of equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual.
Complete department-specific competencies within the provisional period.
