RN Educator - Madison Hospital Emergency Department - FT - 1st Shift

About The Position

The RN Educator is responsible for clinical, consultative, and educational activities that identify and address the learning needs of staff and the community. The role is accountable for some or all aspects of developing, monitoring, and teaching clinical orientation, policies and procedures, and other staff-development opportunities. The RN Educator works closely with clinical departments to help ensure training quality.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing.
Current Alabama nursing licensure.
At least four years of clinical experience.
Experience developing curricula for classes.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively in public.
Strong organizational skills, especially time management and tracking course details and paperwork.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and frequently reprioritize and change tasks.
Proficiency with computers, word-processing and spreadsheet software, fax machines, copy machines, and multi-line telephones.

Nice To Haves

Advanced nursing education or certification.
Management or instructor experience within the past three years.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor status.
Basic Life Support instructor status.
Performance Based Development System experience.
Experience with the hospital’s clinical computer documentation system.

Responsibilities
