About The Position

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities through assessment, plans and delegates care based on patient needs, and evaluates patients’ responses to care and progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for patient-care outcomes during the assigned shift. This position is in Madison Hospital Central Staffing and is part-time, third shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of a state board School of Nursing.
• Current Alabama or multi-state nursing licensure.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained during the orientation period.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
• Experience is required; no minimum duration is specified.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and frequently changing tasks.
• Knowledge of equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual.
• Completion of department-specific competencies within the provisional period.
