About The Position

Hinds LifeCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Float to join its interdisciplinary team and provide skilled palliative and end-of-life care in community settings. The RN Float promotes the hospice philosophy and helps develop a collaborative interdisciplinary plan of care. The role coordinates, collaborates on, and supports the medical management of hospice services for patients and their significant others, while providing compassionate care to patients and families during end-of-life and supporting loved ones who are grieving.

Requirements

• Complete a professional nursing program accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Have at least one year of experience in an acute care facility or community health agency.
• Hold a current California RN license and CPR certification.
• Have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work.
• Be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including pushing, pulling, and lifting or carrying 35 pounds.
• Be available to rotate weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing is preferred.
• Hospice experience is a plus.
