About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff RN to join its hospital-based team and provide specialized nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach. The role organizes and delivers patient care using nursing education, experience, and the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The position is based at Tacoma General Hospital, a 367-bed regional medical center in Tacoma, Washington, with a Level II Adult Trauma Center and a range of specialty services. The position is listed at 0.9 FTE on night shift, with the schedule to be determined. Preference is given to candidates with current or recent PCU or ICU experience in a Level I or II trauma center. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS Certification.
- Two years of experience in an acute care setting.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current or recent PCU or ICU experience in a Level I or II trauma center.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
