RN - Float Pool Registered Nurse
About The Position
MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Float Pool. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive care across various departments within the hospital. MercyOne Dubuque is recognized as a Magnet hospital, signifying excellence in nursing practice and patient care. The organization is committed to improving community health through both acute care and wellness initiatives. The hospital offers specialized services including a comprehensive cardiology center, a Level II regional neonatal intensive care unit, and a new Cancer Center. It also features a trauma center, an accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit, orthopedics, retail pharmacies, palliative care, and various outpatient and community services. MercyOne operates skilled nursing units and a nursing home. The Float Pool RN will contribute to this mission by providing high-quality, person-centered care.
Requirements
- Must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa.
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing.
- Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is preferred and strongly encouraged.
- Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended.
