About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including patient care and staff management assigned to the RN in their charge. The RN may serve as Charge Nurse and is accountable for professional practice. The role requires adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. This is a full-time, night-shift Medical Surgical Float Pool position in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
- Valid New Mexico nursing license or New Mexico compact license within 90 days of hire.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Two years of experience in a specialty.
- Two years of general nursing experience.
- ACLS and/or PALS may also be required by the department.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and manage staff assigned to the RN’s charge.
- May serve as Charge Nurse and remain accountable for professional practice.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
