About The Position
Middle Park Health is a Critical Access Hospital providing services throughout Grand County, CO. We seek an Emergency Department RN for our DAYS shift in Kremmling, CO. Grand County is known as an outdoor recreation paradise with numerous activities like skiing, snowboarding, white water river rafting, mountain biking, boating, fishing, camping, and hiking. The Registered Nurse providing care to the inpatient population(s) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge in the Emergency Department, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, and Long Term Care settings while utilizing accepted standards & protocols of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (or equivalent), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN). The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through the implementation of clinical pathways. Available for on-call duty.
Requirements
- High School graduated or GED Equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed as a professional Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or Compact State Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers
- Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS)
- 1 Year of Emergency Nursing Required
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Care Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 1 year of hire preferred
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge in the Emergency Department, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, and Long Term Care settings.
- Utilizing accepted standards & protocols of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (or equivalent), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN).
