About The Position
The ER Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor, provides nursing care to patients in the emergency department and directs patient care. The RN delivers care based on the needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and demonstrates an interest in a patient-centered approach to total nursing care. The RN demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN plans, supervises, and evaluates patient nursing care and correlates the nursing process with the medical plan of care and hospital policies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing, verified by state licensure.
- Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required.
- BLS required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of assignment to the Emergency Department.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.
