About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Nurse Educator for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY. This role focuses on the Perioperative Continuum, including the Operating Room (OR), Pre-Op, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The position involves developing and implementing educational programs, leading training for surgical staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed) required
- Minimum 2 years perioperative/OR nursing experience required
- Proven experience in clinical education or surgical unit training required
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of New York
- BLS and ACLS required
Nice To Haves
- CNOR certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate perioperative education programs, fellowships, and competencies
- Lead onboarding, orientation, and surgical skills training for OR nurses and surgical staff
- Serve as subject matter expert in aseptic technique, surgical protocols, and AORN guidelines
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, DOH, and CMS standards through education tracking
- Collaborate with perioperative leadership to identify gaps and improve patient safety and efficiency
- Support quality improvement initiatives in surgical workflows and turnover processes
