About The Position

RN Charge Nurse PRN Days Med Surg Inpatient Surgical GI GU Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This position is located at Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104, on the BU GI GU Surgical Unit. Justin 4 is a 36-bed surgical unit that will care for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and urology surgery patients. On August 10, the unit will initially open with 20 beds, with plans to expand to the full 36 beds later in the year. Patients may be admitted pre- or post-operatively, with an average length of stay of approximately five days. RN staffing ratio is 1:4 and PCT staffing ratio is 1:12. Positions require 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations.

Requirements

• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
