About The Position

The RN Charge Nurse will bring their passion to Texas Health Fort Worth, working on the BU GI GU Surgical Unit. This is a Fulltime Nights position, 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7p - 7a. Justin 4 is a 36-bed surgical unit that will care for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and urology surgery patients. The unit will initially open with 20 beds, expanding to 36 beds later in the year. Patients may be admitted pre- or post-operatively, with an average length of stay of approximately five days. The RN staffing ratio is 1:4 and the PCT staffing ratio is 1:12. Positions require 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations.

Requirements

  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Associate's Degree Nursing Pref
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref
