About The Position
The RN Charge Nurse will work full-time nights on the BU GI GU Surgical Unit at Texas Health Fort Worth. This 36-bed unit cares for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and urology surgery patients. The unit will initially open with 20 beds and expand to 36 beds later in the year. Patients are typically admitted pre- or post-operatively with an average length of stay of five days. This position involves 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and team members may be placed on call in response to census fluctuations.
Requirements
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
