About The Position

The Case Manager-Bariatrics facilitates coordination of an interdisciplinary plan of care to guide patient progress toward achieving clinical, quality, and cost-effective outcomes. The Case Manager mobilizes resources and manages the system in response to patient needs according to an interdisciplinary plan of care. The position is based at MultiCare Deaconess Hospital, a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. Deaconess offers inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, and emergency services and is the only hospital in the area with national accreditation in bariatric surgery. The position is 1.0 FTE, with a schedule of either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Friday. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible Registered Nurses.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years of the initial hire date. Registered Nurses with 15 or more years of service, or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021, may be considered to satisfy this requirement in lieu of an education agreement.
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
Certification in ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, or ARNP).
Two years of experience as an RN in a clinic setting.
