About The Position

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, with a variety of primary care and specialty practices. This clinic position is based at the Weight Control Center in Canton and supports Bariatric and General Surgery alongside the surgical and multidisciplinary teams.

Under the ANA scope of practice, the clinical nurse uses the nursing process and patient- and family-centered care principles to provide professional nursing care. The nurse provides quality care in an ambulatory setting under the direction of Nursing and Operational Leadership and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• ICU RN experience preferred.
• Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and patient- and family-centered care principles.
• Provide quality patient care in an ambulatory setting according to policies and procedures and under the direction of Nursing and Operational Leadership.
• Support Bariatric and General Surgery in collaboration with the surgical and multidisciplinary teams at the Weight Control Center.
