About The Position

This is a clinic position within the Weight Control Center in Canton. The RN supports Bariatric and General Surgery and works alongside the surgical and multidisciplinary teams at the Weight Control Center. The role provides professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting under the ANA scope of practice and the direction of Nursing and Operational Leadership. Care is guided by the nursing process, patient- and family-centered care principles, and applicable policies and procedures.

The position is full-time, scheduled for 40 hours per week. The shift is day shift, with variable hours on weekdays, Monday through Friday, and no weekends.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within five years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months.

Nice To Haves

• ICU RN experience preferred.
• Specialty certification highly recommended within two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting using the nursing process and the ANA scope of practice.
• Support Bariatric and General Surgery in collaboration with the surgical team and multidisciplinary team at the Weight Control Center.
• Provide quality care incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles, under the direction of Nursing and Operational Leadership and in accordance with policies and procedures.
