Risk Management and Controls – USTRANSCOM JFOSS
About The Position
BizFirst is assisting its client, a boutique consulting firm supporting the federal government, with recruiting for a Risk Management and Controls role on the USTRANSCOM JFOSS program. The firm supports strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation. This full-time, permanent, on-site position is located at Scott AFB, Illinois, and supports the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The role supports audit execution, risk assessments, and evaluation of financial business processes and internal controls. The employee works with senior team members to document findings and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Interim Secret security clearance or higher.
- Ability to evaluate financial business processes, internal controls, and supporting documentation for Federal entities.
- Ability to prepare audit working papers, testing sheets, and draft audit reports under the guidance of senior team members.
- Ability to collect data and conduct research to support risk assessments and audit plans.
- Clear written communication for documenting audit findings, observations, and client deliverables.
- Ability to participate in process walkthroughs and team discussions to identify operational and control improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day execution of audit projects and client tasks in accordance with firm guidelines.
- Prepare working papers, testing sheets, and draft audit reports under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist with data collection and research to support development of client risk assessments and audit plans.
- Evaluate financial business processes, internal controls, and documentation for Federal entities.
- Draft initial findings and observations clearly and concisely for internal audit reports and client deliverables.
- Participate in walkthroughs and team discussions to identify operational and control improvement opportunities.
