Ring Grinder

Crown Holdings•Conroe, TX

About The Position

The Ring Grinder operates and maintains grinding equipment used to process aluminum can ends or body maker rings to precise specifications. The role ensures tooling components are accurately sized, defect-free, and ready for use in high-speed can manufacturing equipment. The Ring Grinder supports production efficiency by preparing components that meet safety, quality, and dimensional standards. The position involves operating ring-grinding machinery, lathes, and measurement tools; adjusting machine settings; inspecting and measuring tooling; documenting quality outcomes; and maintaining equipment and inventory. The role works with mechanics, tooling technicians, and production operators to deliver prepared rings and support improvements in tooling performance, grinding efficiency, and scrap reduction. This is a fast-paced industrial manufacturing role involving noise, vibration, aluminum dust, rotating machinery, metalworking equipment, and airborne metal particles. Personal protective equipment is provided and may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and respirators as required.
