About The Position

The Grinder cleans and finishes contours and cavities to acceptable standards, removes welds, weld spatters, scratches, dents, and blemishes, and helps complete production-line operations. The role uses filling materials such as fiberglass and epoxies, installs trim, dresses and changes wheels or discs according to established procedures, fills pen holes with an arc welder, and moves frames to the paint line. The employee is expected to follow standardized work methods and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and finish contours and cavities to acceptable standards.
• Use filling materials such as fiberglass and/or epoxies.
• Remove welds from seals and weld spatters, and dress spot welds.
• Install trim as part of the line operation.
• Remove scratches from metal and sand it to a finished product.
• Repair minor dents and blemishes.
• Dress and change wheels or discs according to instructions and established procedures.
• Fill pen holes with an arc welder.
• Move frames to the paint line.
• Follow standardized methods of work.
