Requirements

Prior experience in foundry, metal fabrication, or grinding operations preferred
Ability to operate angle grinders, pedestal grinders, and pneumatic tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and foundry safety practices
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a loud, dusty industrial environment
High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

Operate grinding equipment to finish and smooth cast components to specification
Inspect finished parts for defects, burrs, and surface imperfections
Use hand grinders, bench grinders, and related abrasive tools safely and efficiently
Remove excess material, gates, and risers from castings post-pour
Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with safety standards
Monitor tooling and equipment, reporting wear or maintenance needs to supervisors
Meet daily production quotas while maintaining quality control standards
